As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing faults using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is physically demanding, with dusty and noisy conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel. You must have a valid driver's license and own transportation.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Service attachments and working tools
- Perform other routine maintenance
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Welding experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
