Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our PVT Lab team in Calgary, Alberta. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing PVT Laboratory procedures, compiling and verifying accurate data records, and maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform PVT Laboratory procedures with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Compile, verify, and validate accurate data records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow quality control and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Report results and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education with a Technical Diploma or Science Degree.
  • 0-5 years of laboratory work experience, with previous experience in an oil or PVT lab environment considered an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills with MS Office and LIMS.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Mature work ethic, with the ability to lift 25+ pounds on a consistent basis.
