About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner to join our team at Lethbridge Thai Massage & Spa INC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality traditional Chinese medicine services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosis and Treatment
    • Diagnose patient illnesses and minor injuries, such as allergies and muscle strains or sprains
    • Diagnose physiological disorders and injuries of patients
    • Treat patients by administering, in chemical or herbal form, a small dosage of a remedy made from natural substances or by suggesting lifestyle changes
    • Treat the diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients
    • Advise patients on the use of herbs for the treatment of conditions
  • Acupuncture and Manual Therapy
    • Manipulate or apply pressure to various parts of the body, hands and feet
    • Provide other alternative forms of health care to patients
    • Treat patients by the insertion of acupuncture needles or through stimulation techniques
  • Client Communication and Education
    • Communicate effectively with patients to understand their health concerns and needs
    • Provide education to patients on traditional Chinese medicine principles and practices
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Registration by the appropriate provincial or territorial authority for acupuncturists
  • Experience and Skills
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in traditional Chinese medicine
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
