The City of Belleville is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor 2 to join our Community Services team. As a Fitness Instructor 2, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness programs to our community members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging fitness programs that meet the needs of our diverse community.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Assess and respond to emergency situations and complete necessary reports.
  • Collaborate with Recreation Programmers to evaluate and improve programs.
  • Manage program areas, including equipment and supplies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Attend training and staff meetings as scheduled.

Requirements:

  • High school, college, or university graduate.
  • Current Standard First Aid and C.P.R. certification.
  • Certified by a recognized and approved Agency (dependent on the discipline taught).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
  • Previous instructing experience in the assigned discipline.
