About the Role

Aecon is seeking an Electrical Coordinator to assist with our electrical scope on the Buffalo Pound Water project. This is a rotational role that requires strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out detailed constructability reviews to develop the project schedule and procurement requirements
  • Plan and implement an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and manpower requirements
  • Provide status reports of project milestones and adjustments to schedules
  • Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as-built drawings, turnover documents, etc.
  • Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
  • Coordinate activities relating to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
  • Evaluate and recommend design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
  • Interface with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met
  • Provide status and progress reports to customers, project teams, and management
  • Forecast and track change orders and scope changes
Requirements
  • Post-secondary school education in an Electrical discipline
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate
