About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Renaissance Retirement Residence. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff

Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, including food and beverage servers, kitchen and food service helpers, to ensure seamless food preparation and service.

Train and Develop Staff

Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge in food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Quality Control and Assurance

Ensure that all food and service meet the highest quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Customer Service

Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to optimize inventory management and minimize losses.

Assembly and Presentation

Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure presentation meets our high standards.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.

Work Setting

Relocation costs covered by employer, with a work setting in a retirement home.

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
