The University of Toronto is seeking an Experiential Learning Officer to join the Experiential Education Unit (EEU) in the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic and Dean (OVPAD). The successful candidate will play a key role in enriching the undergraduate education experience by promoting and nurturing unique opportunities and approaches to learning.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct labour market analysis to inform program and partnership development.
- Develop and revise business methods to support employment services activities and objectives.
- Ensure contracts and agreements are consistent with University standards and guidelines.
- Stay informed on policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Implement plans to support the development of work-integrated learning opportunities for students.
- Respond to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirect as appropriate.
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of related experience in an experiential learning environment.
- Experience matching, placing, and supporting students in for-credit student placements.
- Experience in academic advising and providing guidance to students.
- Experience in program development and evaluation.
- Familiarity with database management systems and ROSI.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and apply complex community and university policies and regulations.
- Ability to positively represent the University in the community and to all members of the University community.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities, and appreciate and interact well with diverse personalities and cultural backgrounds.
- Must have strong computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and email software, as well as an ability to adapt to and learn new technologies.
- Experience working in a University environment in the area of experiential learning.
