About the Role
The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l'Ontario is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the school administration and facilities manager, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior of assigned schools to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
- You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to achieve our facilities maintenance goals.
- You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of organization and productivity in your work, including adhering to schedules and deadlines.
- You will be required to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, including adhering to health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- You must have a high school diploma from Ontario.
- You must have at least one year of experience in a related field.
Skills and Abilities
- You must be able to demonstrate good organizational and time management skills.
- You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You must be able to communicate effectively in both English and French.
- You must be able to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
- You must be able to lift, push, and move heavy objects.
