Responsibilities
As an Intermediate System Design Specialist at Hitachi Rail, your primary responsibilities will include:

* Preparing customer requirements compliance assessments
* Analyzing and evaluating customer requirements
* Verifying compliance with product system technical specifications
* Defining system and subsystem requirements

You will work collaboratively with the Software, Hardware, and IVVQ groups to ensure timely analysis and resolution of in-house and field test issues. In addition, you will be responsible for communicating and gaining acceptance of the design with customers and internal stakeholders.

A strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, methods, and tools is essential. You will also need to possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with similar system complexity. Intermediate-level expertise or specialized engineering skills in the CBTC domain are highly desirable. Experience in using DOORS, Polarion, Melody advance, or other system design and requirement management tools, as well as knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices, are also preferred.
