About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at GND WOODCRAFT INC.

Job Summary

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. As a Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction projects, including loading and unloading materials, operating equipment, and performing maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading construction materials from trucks and equipment
  • Operating mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
  • Performing pre-operational inspections on equipment
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings
  • Performing routine maintenance work
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements
  • 1-6 months of experience in a related field
  • Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Strong physical stamina required
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
