Job Summary

This is a leadership position responsible for managing the Produce Department at Walmart Canada Corp.

The successful candidate will lead a team of associates and be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of salesfloor presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving merchandise, utilizing equipment appropriately, monitoring for repair, administering required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
  • Maintaining salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, signing, and pricing merchandise.
  • Participating in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of all Produce Associates.
  • Leading by example, greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, and assisting by promoting products/services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions.
  • Completing all aspects of the Produce Store Within A Store (SWAS) planning, attending SWAS meetings to review SWAS Reports for food products, orders, and sales information, and ensuring in-stock and appropriate inventory levels in the Produce Department by executing all merchandising programs and replenishment programs.
  • Ensuring proper handling of claims and returns, securing merchandise, identifying high shrink items, and maintaining a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.
  • Completing and maintaining required paperwork, such as Inventory Tracking Reports, throwaway record sheets, invoices, and assignment notes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
