About the Role

Glenwood Construction Ltd. is seeking a reliable and physically capable Carpenter Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will assist in various aspects of building and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Assist in Framing and Construction: Assist experienced carpenters in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move materials weighing up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Be a reliable team player with good manual dexterity and a valid driver's license.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter Assistant with Glenwood Construction Ltd., you will work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and gloves to ensure a safe working environment.
