Job Summary

This position involves the installation of resilient and hardwood floors, as well as preparing surfaces for new flooring. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting surfaces, measuring and marking areas to be covered, and installing various types of flooring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Inspection and Preparation: Inspect surfaces to determine their condition and suitability for new flooring. Measure and mark areas to be covered, ensuring accurate cuts and installations.
  • Flooring Installation: Install resilient and hardwood floors, following manufacturer instructions and industry standards. Ensure proper alignment, levelness, and tightness of flooring.
  • Surface Repair and Removal: Repair damaged flooring and remove existing coverings, taking care not to damage underlying surfaces.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and color perception.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and location. This figure includes benefits and bonuses.
