Metal Fabrication Specialist

Les Industries Bonimetal inc. is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for operating metalworking machines to fabricate metal parts and products. Your duties will include checking products for correct shapes and dimensions, cleaning and lubricating machinery, and cutting, bending, and shaping metal stock into parts or products.

Work Setting

We are looking for a candidate who is willing to relocate and has experience working in the metal product fabrication industry. You will be working in a platework manufacturing company, sheet metal shop, or structural steel fabrication company.

Tasks

  • Check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
  • Lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines
  • Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal
  • Position and adjust dies on anvil of forging machinery
  • Position heated or cooled metal pieces on die of press or other forging machinery

Equipment and Machinery Experience

You will have experience working with brakes, overhead cranes, punch presses, shears, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.

Metal Forming or Shaping Operations Experience

You will have experience with bending, cutting machines, and forming operations.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
