We are seeking a skilled Fish Processing Specialist to join our team at Shin Grand Food Trading Ltd. in Canada. This is a permanent full-time position with 40 hours of work per week.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, cleaning, and trimming fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing. Key tasks include scraping away scales, cutting fish, separating fillets, and removing scrap parts using knives. Additionally, they will condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing, check products and packaging for defects, and perform corrective machine adjustments as required.

The ideal candidate will also have experience disjointing and removing meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing. They will be responsible for recording production information, setting up and operating machines to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products, and maintaining cleanliness of machines and immediate work areas.

Work Environment and Requirements

This role involves repetitive tasks, physically demanding work, and standing for extended periods. The successful candidate must possess efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and a strong sense of teamwork. A high level of physical fitness is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In terms of education, a secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, although experience is an asset. The highest level of study completed should be at least secondary school. The successful candidate must be legally able to work in Canada and reside in proximity to the advertised location.

This position comes with a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 - $80,000 CAD per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
