About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at SANT CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a Drywall Finisher. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and durable surface for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and finish drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Cut and fit drywall sheets to fit around corners and edges
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Measure, cut, and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in noisy environments
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
