Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Application and Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining the refinery process control and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop recommendations for design changes, improvements, and optimization of automation systems.
- Lead upgrade projects and complete system implementation tasks, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain automation system applications and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance activities on OT control and communication systems, including PLCs and DCS controllers.
- Support backup and patching processes, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
- Administer tasks in Microsoft Active Directory, ensuring secure access and management of system resources.
- Monitor system performance using management and security applications, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Build, install, and commission new systems to support growth and maintain existing infrastructure with reliability and cybersecurity.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of related experience, including 5 years in an industrial environment.
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Technology.
- NBSCETT PTech Certification is an asset.
- Experience configuring and supporting OT networking and firewalls.
- Experience in cybersecurity and best practices in OT environments.
- Experience with computer hardware repair and replacement, computer data center upkeep, and management.
- Experience building and administering Windows servers and managing servers in a virtual environment.
- Experience with Ethernet networking, routing, and administration.
- Experience with OT systems such as VFDs, PLCs, DCS.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Self-starter, ability to multitask, and proven ability to effectively contribute in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
