Job Summary

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process medication orders that have been clinically reviewed and approved by a Pharmacist.
  • Receive verbal and non-verbal prescriptions from practitioners and verify their completeness and authenticity.
  • Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain stock levels and perform assigned clerical duties.
  • Prepare and process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, packaging or re-packaging medications, and compounding various sterile pharmaceutical products.
