Prepress Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Prepress Technician to join our team at Newprint, a leading printing company based in Ottawa. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless preparation of printing jobs for production.

• Job Preparation: Ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications in preparing printing jobs for production.
• Technical Operations: Handle jobs related to flats with dieline and die-cutting, books and multi-page signatures, and flexographic for roll-to-roll printing.
• Prepress Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of XML, PDF, Color, Dot Screens, and other technical languages for prepress operations.
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrate superior expertise with Adobe products, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Prepress Technician in a fast-paced printing environment.
• Skills: Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in Adobe products, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign.
• Candidates should have: Experience with imposing and creating color separations and plate output.
• Above all: Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Competitive Salary: CAD $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
