We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Assistant to join our team at Calgary Railings Ltd. In this role, you will assist in various aspects of carpentry, including loading and transporting construction materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and mixing and pouring materials such as concrete and asphalt.

As a Carpentry Assistant, you will also assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, framing houses, and building roofs. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning and piling salvaged materials, as well as cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants

Requirements:
