About the Role:

BGIS is a leading provider of customized facility management and real estate services. As a member of our SCS Team, you will be responsible for heavy-duty cleaning in a designated zone, with a focus on quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean floors by sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Dry/wet mop and polish hard surface floors
  • Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment
  • Transport garbage and maintenance machinery
  • Clean glass areas, washrooms, stairwells, and elevator cabs
  • Load and unload supplies and replenish cleaning solutions
  • Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Notify managers of major repairs or additions
  • Mix cleaning solutions and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items and climb ladders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work weekends and shifts as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and talking
  • Occasional lifting and moving up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required
