At Ottawa Demolition and Disposal Inc., we are currently seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly demolition machines.

About the Job

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, based on industry standards and taking into account the physical demands of the role. Our operators work at various construction sites across urban and rural areas, ensuring that our team members have opportunities to gain diverse experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in demolishing buildings using heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, or cranes;
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials after demolition;
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites safely and efficiently.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1-7 months of experience in operating heavy equipment; preferably in demolition or construction;
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • On-site work required; no remote work options available;
  • Work environment may include outdoors, confined spaces, noisy, dusty, and hot conditions;
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines, handle heavy loads, and maintain attention to detail;
  • Own transportation to job sites is required, but public transportation is also available;
  • Overtime may be required depending on project needs.
