Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Shared Health. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing quality services for individuals with mental health issues and/or acquired brain injury.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered occupational therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality occupational therapy services to patients with mental health issues and/or acquired brain injury.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and community reintegration.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) with a practicing register or provisional register as an examination candidate.
  • Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of best practice standards in occupational therapy theory models.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
