Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Digital Transformation by successfully implementing complex, enterprise-scale solutions on modern platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with business experts to discover business requirements and work with enterprise architects to clarify high-level solutions.
  • Develop software solutions, unit tests, and execute development-level testing.
  • Coordinate with development team peers on integration and co-testing of multi-part solutions.
  • Participate in design and code peer review with the operations team and support the testing team to move the solution through testing environments and phases.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development with a majority in Java development.
  • Proficiency in Java 17 and experience with migrating to Java 21.
  • 3+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Springboot, Web Services (SOAP, JSON, and RESTful).
  • 4+ years in Microservices architecture platforms, design patterns, design modeling, SOAP, XML, JSON, and RESTful web services, SQL, and experience with Springboot state transition.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), writing Unit Test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG), and 1+ years of experience in Cloud environments (Azure Preferred) and Containerization and Container Orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of DevOps, GitHub, Docker, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical topics, strong planning ability, and ability to juggle multiple work items and prioritize between them.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
