About the Role

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic to join our team. As a GSE Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including vehicles, tugs, and other equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs to identify and resolve issues
  • Install new and added-on equipment, and conduct first, second, and third-line repairs and modifications
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment is available, reliable, and safe to operate
  • Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues
  • Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Accurately complete work orders and time cards, and maintain detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
Requirements
  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field
  • Red Seal Certification (3IOS or 3IOT) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the trade
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada
  • Obtain a clear criminal record and necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 23 kgs/50 lbs on a regular basis
Assets
  • Advanced Fuel Injection & Diesel Engine Tune-Up certificates/licenses
  • Knowledge or experience with furnaces/pumps/hydraulics/electronics
  • Air Conditioning and Refrigeration certificates/licenses
  • Propane Fuel Systems certificates/licenses
  • Automotive Inspection certificate/licenses
  • Previous experience maintaining mobile ground power (generators), air conditioners (up to 110 tons), and air start units (compressors up to 250 cfm)
