Steam Plant Operations Manager

West Coast Reduction Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Steam Plant Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our steam plant systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities, including air compressors, compressed air piping, water piping, and mixing stations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain all steam plant equipment, ensuring compliance with ABSA and WCRL standards.
  • Manage and schedule steam plant shift operators, and schedule documents for necessary safety testing and maintenance.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to equipment and processes.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, and employee performance management of the steam engineers.
  • Maintain liaison between the steam plant, site management, procurement, and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Class 2 Power Engineering Certificate.
  • 7 years of progressive experience in a plant operation environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, knowledgeable of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
