About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Planning Specialist to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed plans for electrical distribution systems, including network design and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze complex data sets to inform planning decisions, leveraging expertise in electrical engineering and distribution systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams, ensuring seamless execution of planned work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical distribution planning or a related field.
