About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at B.C. LTD. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on construction techniques
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with minimal supervision. You will be required to work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a physically demanding environment
