About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DZ Driver to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up heavy construction equipment to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Delivery and Pickup: Safely load and unload equipment, secure loaded equipment according to company procedures, and inspect equipment in transit as needed.
  • Customer Service: Deliver and pick up equipment, maintain accurate delivery and pickup records, and secure customer signatures on contracts.
  • Communication: Inform supervisors of delivery or pickup difficulties, communicate with dispatch to notify customers of delays, and instruct customers on equipment operation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily vehicle inspections, check gas, oil, and fluid levels, and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Valid Class DZ Driver's License: With a driver's abstract showing no more than three demerit points.
  • Experience: With operating and delivering heavy construction equipment, preferably with experience in earthmoving equipment and aerial equipment.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with local roads and ability to navigate safely.
  • Availability: Willingness to work overtime when required and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
