Financial Analyst Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting payroll processes, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliations:
    • Reconcile General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Perform month-end journal entries and bank account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Monitor and manage aged accounts to ensure timely payment and minimize write-offs.
    • Handle patient billing and payment processing to ensure accurate and efficient revenue collection.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process invoices and manage payments to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors.
    • Investigate discrepancies and correct coding errors to ensure accurate and compliant payment processing.
  • Payroll Support:
    • Assist with payroll processing and tax reconciliation to ensure accurate and compliant payment processing.
    • Support timecard processing and payroll activities to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Analysis and Projects:
    • Prepare financial analysis and reports in Excel to support business decisions and strategic planning.
    • Contribute to projects such as EFT implementation to improve financial processes and efficiency.
  • Audit Assistance:
    • Assist with interim and yearly audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum two years of work experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a financial or accounting role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial accounting principles and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and supportive attitude.
