Job Overview

This position will work within our community based therapy program, providing assessment, treatment, and consultation services to individuals with physical disabilities. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to client-centered care and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being. A key aspect of this role will be to provide education and support to clients and their families on how to navigate community resources and services.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university program;
  • Current practicing full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC);
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT);
  • Two (2) years of recent related experience, including experience working in a community-based therapy program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
  • A valid BC Driver's Licence;
Competencies

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Knowledge of community dynamics, agencies and resources;
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Working Conditions

This position requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to clients and their families. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $73,111 - $103,544 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
