DevOps Engineer Lead

Fixed Income (FI) Platform and Infra Engineering Lead will drive the Platform and infrastructure Book of work for entire Fixed Income technology working closely with FI Senior Management and External Infrastructure partners. Strategic focus of the role will be Hardware planning, forecasting and Optimization, EOVS/VTM/Tech Debt Planning and remediation, Environment setup and keep platform and Infra related Risk and control score card green for 150+ applications across Fixed Income. The role will be responsible for bringing automation for upgrade tasks saving thousands of hours for Development and infra teams alike. The role will supervise multiple Infra leads, Developers taking care of sub-lobs asks and projects and an overall team size of 15-20 spanned across NAM, EMEA and APAC. The role will also be responsible for optimizing the CTI Infrastructure TCO of about 58 MM at Fixed Income level.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to meet business objectives and drive technology infrastructure integration.
- Lead and motivate a team, conducting managerial responsibilities such as performance evaluation and management, employee selection, compensation, budget management and resource planning.
- Resolve complex issues that impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas.
- Provide services by using insights from stakeholder/partner relationships, actively seeking information to understand issues, expectations and needs.
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards and recommend reengineering efforts for continuous improvement.
- Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources.
- Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills and negotiate with external parties as needed.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
- 8+ years relevant experience in technology.
- 8+ years hands on experience with Programming languages like Java, Python.
- 8+ years hands on experience with Databases like SQL Server and BI tools like Tableau.
- Good Experience in Infra as Code using Ansible.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly.
- Methodical, attention to detail.
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent work experience.
