Heavy Duty Diesel Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team at JBH Truck Centre Ltd. This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
Job Responsibilities:- Instruct apprentices in diesel engine repair and maintenance techniques.
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and order parts as needed, maintaining an inventory of necessary components.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Keep detailed maintenance records and documentation for all repairs.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance, verifying that it meets industry standards.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance tasks on heavy trucks.
- Servicing attachments and working tools, including emission control systems.
