Job Summary

Lafarge is seeking a skilled Millwright to maintain, improve, and optimize the mechanical operations for our Cement Plant in Richmond, BC. This is a permanent, full-time, hourly opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on large industrial equipment, including rotary cement kilns, ball mills, gearsets, and compressors.
  • Inspect and monitor mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operations.
  • Work safely and efficiently to maintain a high level of productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with operational and delivery teams to identify and remove constraints to mechanical or process operations.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson status with a preference for dual ticketing.
  • Minimum two years of experience in heavy manufacturing or mining.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable and dependable with a commitment to working safely.

Compensation

$55.43 per hour, with overtime rates applying after 8 hours of straight time.
