Lube Technician Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team at AutoCanada. As an Apprentice Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform oil and filter changes, as well as complete multi-point inspections on vehicles.
  • Diagnose issues such as noises, leaks, and other problems.
  • Perform vehicle repairs and parts replacement, as qualified.
  • Inspect vehicle fluid levels, replace or replenish as necessary.
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
  • Tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and repairs.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Document all work performed on the repair order.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.
  • Ensure customers' cars are kept clean.
  • Notify Service Advisor immediately of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition.
  • Keep shop area neat and clean.
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 1 Service Automotive Apprentice training.
  • Familiarity with ADP and CDK programs is considered an asset.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time, and using power and hand-held equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
