Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Starlight Child Care Ltd. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes assessing children's development, preparing learning plans, and implementing child-care programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment, supervising staff and trainees, and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and prepare learning plans
  • Implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Supervise staff and trainees
  • Communicate with parents
  • Assist early childhood educators in daily operations
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in a child care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift and move children and equipment
Working Conditions:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work in a fast-paced child care environment with a focus on providing high-quality care and education to children. The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of the centre.
