Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at BWX Technologies. As a key member of our Commercial Operations segment, you will be responsible for conducting financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate financial results for various business units, including actual and forecast financial statements and reports.
  • Review and perform variance and trend analysis on actual financial results compared to budget and forecast.
  • Assist business units with financial analysis to provide insights and improvements.
  • Review and perform variance analysis on forecast results and commitments.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and supporting business units and departments with forecast updates.
  • Report actual and forecasted results and supplemental data in the consolidation software.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Prepare external reporting requirements, including Statistics Canada and U.S. Census reporting.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a finance-related discipline complemented by a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA (or equivalent) designation or in the process of attaining same.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Knowledge in SAP and OneStream is considered an asset.
