Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at AutoCanada. As a key member of our Service Center, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the highest quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and OEM standards.
- Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times, and customer communication.
- Conduct multi-point inspections to recommend repairs and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Document all work performed on vehicle repair orders, following OEM standards.
- Maintain an inventory of common automotive tools and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and training classes.
- Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.
Requirements:
- A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.
- Red Seal Certification is an asset.
- Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic, with a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
Work Conditions:
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment with changing temperatures, physically vigorous work, and exposure to fumes, dust, oil, grease, and noise.
- Regularly work around and operate machinery and motorized equipment, including vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Manipulate hands and fingers to operate specialized tools and equipment, with occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, turning, and twisting.
- Occasional carrying, pushing, or pulling boxes and equipment to facilitate repairs.
- Clarity of vision at varying distances to observe diagnostic instruments, manuals, and other printed information.
- Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner.
