We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at Coquitlam Upholstery Shop Ltd. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, custom upholstery for our clients.

• Customer Consultation: Discuss upholstery fabric, colour, and style with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
• Cost Estimation: Provide accurate cost estimates for upholstering furniture or other items.
• Upholstery Work: Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts, and lay out, cut, fabricate, and install upholstery.
• Finishing Touches: Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons to add a professional finish.
• Furniture Repair: Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore them to their original condition.
• Operational Tasks: Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to complete upholstery tasks.

• Manual Dexterity: Possess manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform intricate upholstery tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and accurate measurements.
• Industry Experience: Have experience working in a furniture upholstery and repair shop environment.
• Specialization: Possess specialization or experience in furniture upholstery and repair.
• Work Conditions: Be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

• Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Language: Fluency in English is required.
