Job Summary

Thales Canada is seeking an Engineering student to join the AJISS Engineering Team for the 2024 Summer work term. As an AJISS Engineering Student, you will provide technical support for AOPV systems, researching client issue reports and analyzing technical data. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable working experience with troubleshooting technical issues and working with ships technical data package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the AJISS Engineering staff on various technical activities, including review of technical design and operating specifications, technical investigation into problems, and support in the development of engineering change proposals.
  • Analyze requirements associated with baseline changes to equipment and prepare documented work scopes for the solicitation of quotations from external resources.
  • Conduct detailed mechanical engineering tasks, including requirements analysis, design calculations, material compatibility investigation, and risk and hazard assessments.

Requirements
  • Student enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering Program in Canadian University, with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical or Communication Engineering.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, comfortable working within a team environment, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
