Job Title: Handyman/Woman

Deluxe Oak Bay Services Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team. As a Handyman/Woman, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, as well as wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Groundskeeping: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and perform safety and security checks.
  • Administrative: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability.
Work Environment:

Deluxe Oak Bay Services Inc. offers a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
