Technical Team Lead

Wingman Solutions Inc. is seeking a seasoned and experienced Senior IT Operations Manager to lead our growing IT operations team. As the Senior IT Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a team of system administrators and IT professionals in delivering top-notch managed services to our clients. This is a hybrid role, requiring both strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise, particularly in Microsoft, Google, and Apple environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of system administrators, ensuring the delivery of high-quality managed services.
- Conduct regular team meetings, provide performance feedback, and create development plans to foster professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, and support of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Google Workspace, with a focus on hybrid and on-premise environments.
- Lead the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and security protocols, ensuring compliance across all managed services.
- Provide escalation support and resolve complex technical issues, particularly those involving Microsoft Infrastructure, Google Workspace, and Apple MDM (e.g., Mosyle, Apple Business Manager).
- Client & Project Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any escalations or service issues.
- Manage and participate in the successful execution of technical projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop strategies for integrating and optimizing disparate operating environments for improved efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery through process improvements, automation (e.g., scripting with PowerShell), and the adoption of new technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Wingman Solutions Inc. remains competitive and forward-thinking.
- Documentation & Training:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and best practices.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members and clients to ensure a deep understanding of the systems in use and the security protocols in place.
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with Cloud environments (Azure) and enterprise directory services.
- At least 5+ years of technical experience with server infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting M365, Google Workspace, and Apple ecosystems.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and other common tools.
- Leadership & Management:
- Previous experience in a leadership role, ideally within an MSP or similar environment.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing multiple, concurrent technical projects.
- Education & Certifications:
- A minimum of a College Degree (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator) are an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and proactive issue resolution.
- High level of self-motivation and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
