Our organization consists of six community newspapers that cater to a combined readership of approximately 15,000 individuals. We are dedicated to providing high-quality news coverage to our communities.

Salary: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience, estimated to be between $60,000 to $80,000 per annum, considering the location and industry standards in southeastern Saskatchewan.

Job Description: As a Managing Editor, you will play a crucial role in directing story and photography coverage for our publications. Your responsibilities will include:
- Editing articles for publication
- Assigning stories and photos to reporters as needed
- Writing stories when necessary
- Creating editorials for the opinion pages
- Collaborating with the team to plan overall page layout

Required Skills and Qualifications: To excel in this position, you should possess exceptional writing and editing skills, strong news judgment, patience, and proven leadership capabilities. A degree or diploma in journalism or related field is required, along with a professional-level grasp of grammar and Canadian Press style. Additionally, you should have strong journalistic ethics, working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop, and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines. As a team player, you should be comfortable working well with others and possessing the ability to drive in various road conditions.
