About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Magic Years Child Care Centre. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Maintain and organize daycare equipment to ensure a stimulating and engaging environment for children.
  • Support early childhood educators in implementing programs that foster children's growth and development.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Guide and assist children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Contribute to the development of written observations on children, providing valuable insights for early childhood educators and supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges faced by children.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
