The Opportunity

We are seeking a licensed Electrician to join our team at the Hemlo Operations in Ontario, Canada. This is a drive-in/drive-out role if you reside outside the Marathon/Manitouwadge area.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• Carry out scheduled electrical servicing according to manufacturer specifications, Electrical Code, CSA standards, and company standard procedures
  
• Identify and organize resources required for each job to ensure efficient completion of tasks and maximize productivity
  
• Complete service sheets and document additional repairs performed on each task
  
• Diagnose and anticipate potential problems or failures and provide recommendations for solutions
  
• Read and interpret service and spare parts manuals
  
• Carry out regular inspections of systems and tools
  
• Complete various daily, weekly, monthly reports as required
  
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the shop and at job sites
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalency
  
• Demonstrated commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
  
• Ontario Provincial Trade License 309A (Red Seal preferred)
  
• Minimum 5 years' experience working in an underground mine
  
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  
• Strong communications skills, verbal and written, and must be computer/systems literate
  
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly
  
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  

What We Offer

A competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 annually, health and medical benefits, travel allowance, meals, and camp accommodations in Marathon, Ontario. Selected candidates will have to successfully complete a pre-employment Fit-for-Duty medical including alcohol and drug screening.
