Job Description

The Clinical Laboratory Specialist works within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, performing analytical tests and procedures using appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques. This role requires strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, and independent judgment to perform laboratory tests with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

">

- Conduct laboratory tests with precision and accuracy according to established protocols.

- Operate computer-integrated instruments and utilize computerized information systems.

- Compare test results to pre-established criteria and make decisions regarding reportability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.

- Current registration with NSCMLT or eligibility for registration.

- Membership with CSMLS required.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including:

- Hourly rate: $33.20 - $41.44.

- Long Assignment, Part-Time/60%/45 Hours Bi-weekly.
