Fraser Health is seeking a Health and Safety Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement OH&S policies, procedures, and programs to meet legislative requirements and Fraser Health's commitment to safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards and prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Provide training and education to employees on OH&S policies and procedures.
- Investigate workplace incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and wellness.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
- Registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent certification.
- 5+ years of experience in a unionized environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
