Job Title: Painter

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at VOIX CONSTRUCTION INC. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Work Environment

Our Painter will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors, underground, and at heights. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and a uniform.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired color and texture
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
  • Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically demanding
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling
