Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Smitty's Comox. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, preparing food, and supporting our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in food preparation, including cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Perform other tasks as required to support the kitchen team.
As a Kitchen Helper at Smitty's Comox, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding role. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet the demands of our kitchen.
Requirements- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform the demands of the role.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
