Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement construction plans, ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations.
Work Site Environment:
Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty environments.
Tasks:
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials to create structures and fixtures.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Leadership and Training:
Lead and instruct apprentices, as well as supervise other workers.
Business Acumen:
Estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate structures in various settings.
Mentorship and Support:
Provide mentorship and support to newcomers, refugees, youths, and Indigenous workers, fostering social and labour market integration.
